For one thing, much better than vast battery banks using rare earths that are mined and recycled in ways that make oil spills look almost tame.

Modular or not isn't the issue, really. That they are doing it wrong is dumb. Nuclear IS a way forward, but PWR (press water) reactors should be gone, a while ago.

Liquid Metal should be the norm. much safer, much easier to implement higher use of fuel, and muuuch lower waste (by a very large factor).
