Lisa’s birthday is soon. We never get each other anything substantial, and nothing at all since I’ve been taking care of her full time.

But I’ve been thinking about what I would do if the power went out during a terrible heatwave, and the answer has been I guess just die.

So for Lisa’s birthday I bought a solar generator, for Christmas I’m buying a portable heat pump, and for my birthday next year another solar generator.

I’ll probably buy more battery capacity every holiday.
