so, i took MSM for the first time this morning...
i think the dose is 1500mg, as two 750mg capsules
anyhow, i am noticing a few things
indeed, it seems to be reducing my cramping in my feet and muscles in general, not greatly, but noticable
it feels like my whole body is warmer, which may be because it's doing something to my fine blood vessels, relaxing them
my blood pressure definitely feels lower and i'm a little wobbly, tbh, but not dangerously or anything, just feeling a lot slower than usual
the most interesting thing, i read that it can have bad effects combined with alcohol, but regardless of that, the thought of drinking while i'm in my current physical state seems like a bad idea, but not just a bad idea, i don't really feel like it, either
so it occurs to me that perhaps i have also been suffering from the effects of a deficiency of sulfur, in addition to the potassium deficiency
i feel like i'm going to sleep better because of taking this stuff
i'm not sure i should take 2 capsules at once though, next time i'm going to space them out like 6am and then noon with lunch
in the next day or three i should get the DMSO/magnesium solution arrive as well... i'm looking forward to seeing what happens when i put that on the skin around the parts where the cramping and muscle spasm is happening, mostly my hands and feet, a little on my right shoulder at the moment
oh yes, and today, a steam controller is arriving, so i'm probably going to spend more of my time flopped on the couch playing Kingdom Two Crowns
the pains from the neuropathy are driving me mad, so i'm really hoping that i've found some effective treatments that will resolve it
the magnesium certainly will help, i definitely have some issue with not enough of that in my muscles, but - and this is why i also got MSM, i think the MSM/dimethylsulfone stuff may do something specific
so, neuropathy is actual damage to nerves, but i think part of what happens with it is that amylose forms out of chronic high blood sugar, a starch polymer that is quite water resistant and nonpolar, and interferes with especially symnapses by obstructing the flow of blood and neurotransmitters
i sorta get an inkling that it's an electrostatic effect - that something in my nerves to the muscles where the cramping is happening it has something like capacitance in an electric conductor - it is slower for the voltage to rise, and it takes longer for it to return back to low, so normal signalling is causing it to get into a spasm
anyhow, i think that sulfur, and especially MSM/DMSO will put sulfur into the fine capillaries and cause them to dilate more, and improve the elimination of the buildup of amylose... and i'm pretty sure now that dementia, aka alzheimers, is actually a disease related to chronic high blood sugar, and a specific set of genetic types that have a strong reaction to high blood sugar of polymerising the sugar to get it out of the flow of the blood, and in doing so, the amylose accumulates in the periphery of the vascular system where flow rates are most affected by the blood sugar's different viscosity... and dehydration effects, as well as sluggish kidney function leads to potassium and magnesium deficiency
boron is some part in this too, taking boron has definitely helped
but yeah, this MSM is altering my metabolism in an unexpected way, my core temperature is definitely higher, or at least my skin temperature is, and i feel a lot different... hopefully it's helpful in some way, it feels like it's slowing me down though at this point
