My mother lives on the other side of the world and most doctors seem to believe everyone with GD is super skinny (a lot of us aren't, I just ate to my appetite so was normal but on the chubbier side most of the time unless I was too busy to eat). I've also always been emotionally sensitive, which is probably partially not being entirely neurotypical and partially having a wide neural net because I had to manage an erratic and abusive father. My mom was supportive when I was diagnosed, I don't talk to my father anymore. Plus I developed a lot of skills to manage my anxiety and emotions, which is how I finally realized something biological was going on (I know my own crazy lol).
