I am one of those weirdos who likes YouTube enough, and hates advertising enough, that I just go ahead and pay to not see the advertisements anymore. The first time they made it the least bit inconvenient for me, I folded instead of playing around.

And yeah, it gives some bad people money. You should see the ethnic cleansings being carried out by taxpayer dollars and the fossil fuel subsidies too. Not a good excuse for making the world worse, but beats seeing commercials.
