my problematic trait is sort of having respect for ransomware groups who fuck up bigass corporations on principle that fucking up bigass corporations is good to do. the part where that sorta doesn't work is that they are often nation states doing a warfare which i don't love either. if there was ever a ransomware group that was just like 'we are going to fuck up oil and gas companies only and shake them down for money' then they would basically be the heroes of the world though.
