Is it just me, or did Nostr basically just re-create the store and forward sort of networks that existed in the 80s of Usenet and FIDONet, but do away with newsgroups and echos in favor of hashtags and public key addressing? Seems like remembering this may help when looking to address problems as they arise that perhaps are an echo from those days past.

Makes you wonder about the piracy cases of the future, and targeting of relays in the way that NNTP providers were systematically targeted. Guess it's good that Tor is readily supported. #Nostr
