The polarization of the world, or what the Chinese hairy bear calls the "bipolar world", is absurd. A product of the mind of an imperialist with an obsolete mindset stuck in the XIX and the XX centuries.
Simply put, the west and Asia are bound to coexist together. It's a fact that countries like Russia or China depend on the West just as much as the West (US, Europe) depends on Asia. China has a shit lot of trade deals with the west and the west has a lot of factories in China. Same with Rusia. Countries like India or Thailand also have a lot of trades with both the BRICS and the Western countries, specially the EU.
And let's not forget Africa and the middle orient countries. For example, Spain imports a lot of gas from Argelia after the Russian sanctions and has trades with Morocco as well.
I understand if these countries don't want to develop a dependency on the west, but the reality is that every country depends on the other countries just as much. Polarizing and dividing the world is an error that is going to cost the world a lot and it's going to cause a severe recession. And it's all because people prefers to play "conquerors" instead of doing an actual analysis on the situation they are in. This isn't the XX century, nor the medieval era anymore.
And I can rant for hours on how the West is doing the exact same thing as well. Removing Russian people from the Linux kernel because of their stupid war? Also stopping any collaboration with Russia in the ISS and other research areas? More like trying to bring back the cold war, isn't it? The West is pushing the same agenda. And of course it's going to cost us.
Don't get me wrong. I'm pissed at Russia right now because of their stupid war. And I'm more pissed at the fact that a lot of people in Russia endorses that stupid war and nobody does much to stop their government. You could argue that they are scared, but the reality is that if it was a majority, there would have been a strong revolt. It's not like it didn't happen in the past, but from the opposite part.
But removing people who actually contribute for the common good is simply wrong. We should actually allow that to show the world that together, we are much stronger than divided into a "bipolar world". Which is exactly what the dinosaurs that govern us fear the most. That's the only way to stop all wars, if people understands once and for all that the only way we are going to advance as a civilization is if we stop endorsing flags and political ideals and embrace common good.
