"content": "If I’m remembering things right—it was pulled from early Mac OS X when the menus moved to Carbon’s MenuManager. That helped unify the AppKit and Carbon apps. I believe nostr:npub1gw2guxr47el0emr9c5gvzlx86lsp6s959a5elj7dcw6rdwcfzshqphelkm had a Haxie way back then to add the feature back by hoisting the menu into a hosting window. I really like the idea. It has a lot of the floating palette benefits without needing two UIs (menu and panel) to do the same thing.",
