Interesting developments in #Syria where anti-Assad forces started an offensive against the Syrian army supported by #Russia and #Iran, catching them by surprise. Social media show some embarrassing pictures of the allied forces (Syrian, Iranian, Russian) fleeing in panic from the rebel offensive.
All three are significantly weakened in Syria due to the conflicts they started and have to manage elsewhere (Iran in Israel and Lebanon and Russia in Ukraine).
Seems like Russia’s and Iran’s plan to create a distraction by sponsoring the 7 October 2023 offensive on #Israel may actually come back to them in an unexpected way…
