The way ableism is not spoken about in tech and specifically accessibility means that over time it self selects non-disabled people into leadership and is why we've ended up with this tech-led ideas of accessibility that feel distant from the disabled community.

The thing is ableism is just very obvious if you look for it but at best we are focused on the barriers that exist as a result of that ableism, there's no interest in examining the root causes of the barriers.
