Saw a Tumblr post suggesting that in lieu of Elf On The Shelf and its surveillance state vibes, parents should place and attempt to protect a straw goat and kids should attempt to steal it (as fire and small children are a bad combo).

But I think we should hide treats in or on the goat and the kids should eat them instead, in honour of this year's Gävle Goat.

So anyhow, anyone got patterns for Gävle Goat shaped toys that I could put some chocolates in? I don't have straw on hand, but I've got yarn, fabric, a 3d printer and a 6 year old.
