I have done the adulting this morning. But I wanted to take a moment to say something. This is not smugness - I see so many trans people who have partners who don't support them, either in little ways or in full on abusive ways. It shouldn't be that way, and I'd like to just point out the shining example of my nesting partner. She has been an absolutely solid rock for my transition, nearly the whole time. She asks how best to support me - and does that. She sees how I'm growing and glowing, and absolutely loves that for me. She's had to adjust, of course, but she has never once made my transition an inconvenience or worse for her.

I wanted to say this, because there is so much narrative around "come out as trans, split up with partner", and so rarely do we hear that there are other stories. Cis partners can be good, and trans people deserve them.
