Those are extremely unlikely to break. The full functionality should work if you use them with sandboxed Google Play but they should also work without it, without certain features like OCR. It's if you want to avoid those things that it's harder and we'd be worried about an open source TTS app breaking at some point. They also require special setup instead of just detecting language and working.
