It's hard. I applied to a company that I have worked for 4 years. When I got laid off for Covid, I asked my supervisor if she would want me back there if I reapplied and she told me for sure. She always gave me perfect reviews and few of the other employees have said that I was the best employee. Turns out when I reapplied, she was the one that told HR not to hire me.
I guess I actually suck at everything.
