1. For myself, the benefit to "cost" ratio went towards contactless cards since I left school (and the nearby ATM), but I fully agree that people should be able to choose, if they prefer cash.
2. I don't support the fact that small shops have big trx fees compared to their volume of transactions. In that sense, I am totally fine paying an extra to offset that, but it should not be that way.
3. I can tell you with 99.9% certainty that a card with very low fees (based on a blockchain backend) for small shops would destroy the whole market in Switzerland (so basically destroy SIX Payment Services on their own turf).
