America remains a great idea poorly executed.
That's because the white guys who wrote America's founding documents thought only THEY were capable of democracy. They got that part wrong - the "poorly executed" part.
Fortunately, over time, as America diversified, all those diverse Americans began to push America toward the greatness of its idea: a place where everyone is equal before the law - and where everyone's hard work will be rewarded fairly.
Voting is the only way to get there. And we CAN get there.
The trick is getting more and more Americans to vote. It's always the disempowered who vote least - because that's how those IN power have always wanted it.
