Here's a neat trick - open the Mail app on your Mac, and do a global search for something. Now open Xcode, and go to the search tab, and the search field will be populated with the search you just did in Mail. Now open Safari, open any web page, and hit Command-F - the search field will be populated with the same search command.
How does this work? Can 3rd parties tap into it? Do any even want to (it's kind of weird, honestly)?
