"Your reasoning is circular," say anarchists. "You say most men listen to passion, not reason. So you must expect authorities to be comprised of passionate men, not reasonable men. Then you get greater atrocities, because their use of force fallaciously justified. Authority always defeats its own purpose."
This isn't true because authorities have at times been comprised of good, reasonable men. Sustainable justice and order have been successfully established in various times and places.
