I would like them to feel less helpless and isolated. One of the most gratifying comments I got on Cascade was that for people who'd worked in politics and/or activism, the book validated their frustrations and made them feel less alone. I wrote it because I was experiencing burnout and it really helped, and I want to do that for others.
