#2 had just started his transfer test (NI has academic selection for post primary). He succumbed to the slapped cheek syndrome his brothers had last night, woke up at 4.30am with a raging temperature, headache and sore muscles. Hauled himself into the shower, took some medicine, fell asleep and got himself back up at 7.30, got ready and we hauled ass into town.
I could not be prouder of that wee man today. He has true grit. The poor bastard struggles academically so this is already a long shot. But he has worked and worked. Respect.
