"content": "I just don't see a kinetic dance floor as likely to capture much energy, enough to counteract the cost of disassembly, transport, and reassembly seems unlikely. Energy is force times distance. Dance floors likely support say 100lb per sqft, assume a sine wave of 1 inch displacement at 1hz, let's call it 100 inch pounds per second, and a 4 hr concert per day and let's say 10% capture... A 1000sqft dance floor would put out about 200 watts, or power 10 phone chargers",
