Honestly still quite bitter about Brexit. I lived in the UK for close to twenty years, assuming I would never be treated as a second class citisen. Then the referendum was announced and the campaign immediately turned vicious where people like me were compared to vermin and it became obvious that no matter how the vote would go, it was time to leave. The UK had become a much more hostile and bigoted country. And, if anything, it only looks like it’s gotten worse since.
