I've been heavily diving into the digital privacy space and am curious if anyone has any insight into how you can create a fully private chat server that doesn't talk back to the developers servers or any of that. Fully self hosted and cut off from the world. I figured Mattermost or Matrix.. but Matrix is extremely complicated to set up(though I managed to do so). Thoughts?
