I'm intrigued by Monk Parakeets and now these guys (and other introduced and displaced) bird species. Monks come from more temperate areas in Argentina. The various subspecies of Ring-Neckeds range from Sub-Saharan Africa all the way to India, Nepal and Burma, so they're from a wide variety of climates. I then pulled up this paper, if you're interested (there is quite a bit of research on this, it seems): https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/ddi.13591
