Unpopular take: Zelensky has proven himself as a leader. Ukraine, like many countries with a weaker local currency, is a victim of the global fiat system. They got invaded and need weapons for defense, but weapons are paid for in USD, making them reliant on foreign funding. I agree that burden shouldn’t fall on all US taxpayers—rather it should be backed by war bonds, like when we were on the gold standard. Let those who support Ukraine’s defense opt in with their own money. Fair, voluntary, and accountable.
