Have now watched episode 2 of "My Dearest" 🌸 The characters are beginning to unfold and Lee Jang Hyun is showing aspects of his personality other than the dandy facade he seems to wear.
I can see why some people see similarities with "Gone with the Wind" because of the love square. But that novel was set in the context of slavery; this drama seems to be set in a time when there is a threat of a Chinese invasion of Korea. It feels quite different in its themes so far.
