"content": "yeah!!! i was watching evangelion dubbed with a friend and forgot how awkward it is for them to try to translate these idioms because they just aren't a thing we do in english, plus the way they get creatively translated obscures the fact they are actually sort of frozen phrases in japanese. just comes out really weird. the other example is tadaima / okaerinasai",
