I've just begun reading Randall Kenan's last short story collection. I've had it for several years. But Randall passed. This is the last he will ever write. I haven't been able to consume it. Like the sugarcane I bought from the French Market because it reminded me of my childhood then I let it sit on the kitchen window until it shriveled up. Thankfully, Randall's words keep.
