"content": "Even if you just didn't want to go into an institution, that's valid. Also, I don't think being a caregiver makes it any more acceptable for them to think of or treat a disabled person like a burden. The problem is the lack of options, specifically the lack of community support. Caregiving is definitely undervalued but that doesn't justify holding the opinions of caregivers about the value of disabled lives above those of disabled and/or chronically ill ppl.",
