So why is Graphene only on the Pixel?

I am boycotting Google, I am not going to buy from Google.

It used to make sense to develop for Nexus devices when they were cheap, but the Pixels are the same price as iPhones and Galaxies. Why not develop for the Galaxy, or something else?
