Someone writes a macroeconomic, economic policy article. He researches, gathers data, compares it, etc. He do everything to support his argument with facts. And then a girl comes along in the comments and just says, 'Well, everyone can have their opinion, but...'
Girl, that wasn’t an opinion. Those were facts. And the conclusion drawn was based precisely on those facts.
Some people just think everything is a matter of opinion, that you can have an 'opinion' about anything. No matter how unqualified they are, no matter how little they know about the actual situation. As if you don’t have to work for an opinion. As if an 'opinion' is a free, unearned right that everyone, regardless of their IQ, should have. Or how often do you hear or read, 'Unfortunately, I don’t have an opinion on that'?
This stupid, woke, privilege-fueled entitlement really gets on my nerves sometimes.
