1982, roommates David Grundman and his roomate decided to go out in the desert with their guns and shoot up a saguaro cactus.

Grundman shot one arm of the 100+ year old cactus so much it fell off-- but in a rare moment of instant justice the heavy arm fell *on* on him, crushing him to death. :)
