Good Housekeeping has made a list of “micro-joys” for under £20, says Carol Midgley in The Times. But there are many small pleasures that are free. Like a “wexter” (someone who walks as they text) walk “into a bollard”. Or a night out you’re dreading cancelled. The sign on a sweet bowl at Halloween that read: “Take one and piss off.” Of course, there are also “micro-miseries”. Non-Americans who say “hey!” instead of “hello”, “reach out” instead of “email”, and “passed” instead of “died”.
