There is a bird that hangs out near the house that my wife calls the Joy Division bird. It sings the most melancholic descending 3 note melody. The Merlin bird ID app identifies it as a Golden-crowned sparrow and that fits the descriptions I can find online. Sometimes it intersperses a 2 note variation. It almost brings tears to my eyes.
