That process has already begun. Be that as it may, India is on a slippery slope to a dangerous path of extreme religious fundamentalism that is totally uncalled for, and unfortunately religion and politics and easy money has now got into a heady mix. The Hindutva elements in India are the worst specimens of humanity you have ever seen. That fate should befall on 1.4 billion people is scary, but we hope it will not go too far before these can be stopped. India needs an urgent restoration of democracy and sanity. Perhaps the Canadian fiasco can deliver the wake up call to sensemaking in India.
