I’m lucky to have landed a job with a good salary, but I did have to take a cut, and I think that’s the point.

Many of the layoffs weren’t necessary but were designed to increase shareholder value, and I think the goal is to drive down the salaries and kick engineers out of the highly-compensated employee designation.
