Went for a walk this morning & my reverie was interrupted by the rhythmic whoooomp - whooooomp of a swan flying by. I paused to watch, turning to track its flight & shading my eyes from the low winter sun.
So aye. Apparently I salute swans now.
Didn't get a photo of the swan, so have this artist's impression with the more obliging robin in my garden.
