There was a time in the past when I believed that the internet would facilitate a new amazing world of 'citizen journalism' ... and that did happen, but then the internet get swamped by 'citizen opinions', where instead of doing actual journalism, people just 'make shit up' based on their personal biases and affiliations.
Today it's almost impossible to find actual trustworthy citizen journalism in all the noise of the rest.
