I'm brand new here, so my opinion is highly uninformed and probably worthless, but zaps are what got me initially interested in NOSTR. the concept of being paid for social media creations (even in small amounts) without having to beg the admins for your supper, seems like a MUCH better alternative on its own. the censorship resistance is just a bonus feature.
