There is one thing I always disliked about Islam - its strong condemnation of polytheism I guess? I think all religions have potential to be liberatory or oppressive including polytheistic ones. Does is place me beyond bounds of Islam? Perhaps. But there are initiatives to make Islamic theology more welcoming to Hinduism for example. Of course it is strongly condemned.
