I was cycling up the opoho bus loop on the hard shoulder and got cut off, honked at. Tthe guy seemed to be attempting to do a punishment pass, then turn left in front of me. But he got annoyed that a) he didn't have the space to do it without knocking me off my bike and b) there were witnesses if he did a)
I wish I had taken your approach. Instead I hung around for the swearing. Was a bit too jittery to keep cycling straight away though
