Oh I get it, I was mishearing it all along: by concentrating an ever-increasing amount of capital in cold wallets with forgotten passphrases and dead addresses where coins are destroyed, blockchains seek to gradually institute a rule of the dead, a sort of permanent "necrocracy" where the will of the living diminishes in power over time, to be ruled by ghosts. A hierarchy forever ruled by the techno-necromancers who can speak to and command those ghosts.
