In an emergency evacuation, respecting the BiKe LaNe only further compounds gridlock. And for what? So that a handful of cyclists can travel unimpeded? I've seen just how sweaty commuters can be after a bike ride (some businesses added showers just for them). Now try the exact same ride during a raging wildfire.
