Right now, for me, it's cheaper to run propane if I can get a 20lb refill. For under $15.
If I put up more solar panels, this math changes dramatically.
I don't have a heat pump in my trailer yet. So it's just a miner and propane combo.
One issue with miners is that the colder it gets, the less cooling they require, so less airflow is required to cool them which greatly limits the heat that is moved. You'd likely need to run a miner full tilt to get enough heat (max of about 1800W on a properly wired 120V setup or whatever the max is on a 240V input) and that's a very serious constant load that requires excellent quality wiring and termination to sustain those kinds of draws without burning your place down.)
