Many years ago, I bought a little hand-painted card with the inscription, "The luck that brings people together." I bought it and it has hung in our house now for over 30 years. I liked it both because it's beautifully handwritten and the watercoloring on the card is very attractive, but also because the card made me think of our relationship — which owes so much to good fortune or fate or whatever we want to call what carries us.
