EVENING WORKOUT: POWER/CARDIO
With 15 lb mace:
-Pullover to squat, 6x5
-Headstand, 3x20 seconds
-360°s, 5 minutes continuous (switch hand positions every 10 reps)
-Strict lean-forward pushups, 3x5
-10+2's, 5 minutes continuous (switch hand positions every 10 reps)
-Bridges...like 3 I guess
I'm never going to abandon calisthenics. I love it too much and feel bad when not doing pushups. Besides, martial arts movements ARE calisthenics.
But for strength purposes, for the time being the calisthenic moves I'm focusing on are isometric for the most part, to compliment the explosive movements of clubs and maces. That way I can be a wiry lil' guy but still be sturdy.
