quoting nevent1q…nh3rMy facetious comment was more an observation on the current epidemic of self-sabotage that appears so rampant in western discourse than perhaps the complex “politic” of Pakistan. The west’s cynicism, demoralisation and lack of cohesion, in my opinion, has been instigated and, in turn, provides fuel, in a self-fulfilling doom loop, to the idealogical vilifiers who seek influence over and ultimately dominion over the west.
I don’t doubt your observations on Pakistan but no comment on the ccp, Iran, Afghanistan, India, age old tribal tension and conflict, family feuds, corruption and gang criminality? And yes, I do appreciate that the USA/western financial and political power are also caught up in that soup but from a bigger picture perspective the lack of subtlety in discussion, particularly online, are both a result of and fodder for the continued erosion of what the western civilisation could/should be.
I’ve been on social media for just over a year and I find the west’s predilection to a crude, almost childlike, inability to not wear their heart on their sleeve, glaringly obvious. The buttons that need to be pressed are sign posted in no unsubtle way and it appears that, like a sculpture slowly being chipped into form, westerners are being bombarded with disgust for their own corrupted institutions while at the same time being persuaded that an authoritarian/socialist alternative may not be so bad. Criticism of those authoritarian/ socialist systems has been just western propaganda all along anyway, right?😉
