Folks, there is no “cognitive test” that tells you if someone’s cognition is generally slipping. There are multiple instruments that are used to try to quantify if someone has dementia, but none of them are well validated for screening for mild cognitive decline. Out-of-context scores are often meaningless. So sure, Biden and Trump can take a SLUMS or MOCA or whatever, but as we saw with Trump, the score isn’t necessarily useful at all. It just isn’t how these instruments are validated.
