& @NVK more bitcoiners sure, but nostr (and it's most attractive clients lke primal (npub12vk…pugg)) is definitely plagued by an overemphasis on Bitcoin. The protocol itself and its visionary principles could be a great source of attraction for FOSS types and the Twitter braindrain more generally (most of whom are still adrift I might add). Creatives who could be greatly benefitting from the lightning system are turned off by the goopy ai-art-adjacent UIs & the upfront emphasis on Bitcoin which is an immediate buzzkill and will remain despite a bullish Bitcoin imo. This amazing Bitcoin use case should (and will) come downstream from nostr adoption.
